Ford Racing Focus ST-R to make racing debut

The Ford Racing Focus ST-R is the first global model to join the race car family that also includes the FR500S Mustang FR500C Mustang, Mustang Cobra Jet, Boss 302 and Boss 302R. “The competition debut of our entire family turnkey FR racing has been the conclusion of the trip, but the transition to a new stage of development,” said Jamie Allison, director of Ford Racing. “Our partnership with Multimatic Motorsports has led to past successes with the FR500C and Boss 302R and its contribution to the product that will take the track at Daytona this week has been fundamental.” The Ford Racing Focus ST-R generates its power from a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine which develops about 250 horsepower (186 kW).
