Porsche 911 Turbo to get new tri-turbo system
The Porsche 911 Turbo now employs a 3.8-liter, horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine with twin turbo, but according to a report by Autocar that are set to upgrade to a tri-turbo induction. Details of the complex system was disclosed in the patent applications by the manufacturer of sports cars.
It uses three different turbochargers, two of which work similar to the twin-turbo unit in the current models, while the third is mounted near the engine to drive the response at low speeds. It will allow the Porsche 911 Turbo to increase raw power of 525bhp (391 kW / 532 PS) and we could then expect the best performance Turbo S to pump more than 550bhp (410 kW / PS 557). Following its successful introduction, the same system is expected to be extended to the 911 GT2 and 911 GT2 RS. for more cheap car you can view at cheap sports car.
